First you need to understand what type of tension you
suffering from. There are three types of tensions from which a human being
could suffer. These are:-
- Muscular Tensions
- Mental Tensions
- Emotional Tensions
Muscular Tensions – Again it is of two types, one tension due to over
exercise and second tension is due to lack of exercise. To relieve from first
type of tension you require rest, only rest. To relieve from second type of
tension you need to become more active.
Mental Tensions – Mental tension usually come from lot of thinking,
day dreaming, lot of unhealthy discussions. Mental tension can also come from
your profession. To cope with mental tension ‘Karam Yoga’ is prescribed. Karam
Yoga means selfless service to the society by any means as per your own
convenience. Hard work through ‘Karam Yoga’ would give direction to your mind.
Emotional Tensions – Emotional tensions arises in the mind due to love, haltered,
death of someone whom you love most. It is very difficult to eliminate
emotional tensions. Without proper guidance and effort one can get rid of
emotional tensions. Sometimes it will take very long to relieve from emotional
tensions.
Bhakti Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Some Asana and pranayaam are
very beneficial to eliminate emotional tensions.
Overall for the relief from these threefold tensions
one has to follow spiritual path.
Keep in mind if you not treat your tensions timely
they would convert into mental patterns and than into the diseases. So, be
careful to manage your tensions. First know the tension and neutralize it.
